1. Who we are

Vaishnex ("Vaishnex", "we", "us") is a video platform for creators and businesses. You can make videos in the Vaishnex Studio, share photos and videos with your circle, run a shop that takes orders on videos, and use Vaishnex AI. Vaishnex is owned and operated by Ajay Pagare (Founder, CEO and Owner), Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. For this policy, Vaishnex is the "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. What we collect

You give us

• Account: your email address and password. We store only a scrambled form of your password (an scrypt hash), never the password itself.
• Email codes: when we email you a 6-digit code, we store only a scrambled form of the code, and it expires after 5 minutes.
• Profile: account type (customer, creator or business), name, handle, bio, city, category and anything else you choose to add, such as a WhatsApp number, phone number, business address or button text.
• Posts: photos, videos, cover images, captions, titles, location tags, product tags and the settings you pick for each post.
• Activity: likes, comments, follows, saved items, playlists and views.
• Orders: items you order or sell, quantity, the name and phone number given for delivery, order status, and packing proof videos (see section 8).
• Vaishnex AI: the messages you type into the AI chat and the AI tools.
• Support: anything you send us by email.

Collected automatically

• Sign-in records: when your session started and was last used, so you stay signed in for up to 90 days of use and are signed out after a password change.
• Safety counters: a scrambled form of your IP address and email, used only to stop repeated sign-in or code requests. These delete themselves within a day.
• Technical logs: error messages from our servers. We do not write passwords, codes or full email addresses into these logs.

We do not collect your contacts, your precise GPS location, or your camera or microphone in the background. The camera or microphone is used only when you start recording, for example a voice note in Awaaz.

3. What stays on your device

Much of Vaishnex runs inside your own browser, without sending anything to us:

• Studio: editing, effects, music, text and exporting run on your phone or computer. Your raw clips are uploaded only if you choose to post the finished video.
• Drafts and projects, templates you fill in, Roz ka Status cards, challenge entries and Video Saboot fingerprints are saved in your browser's storage.
• In this version, direct messages, leads, plans, products and offers are also kept on your device. If we move any of these to our servers later, we will update this policy first.

Clearing your browser data removes these items. We cannot recover them for you.

4. How we use your information

• To create and secure your account, sign you in and send you email codes.
• To show your profile and posts to the people you choose, and to show you posts, Pal clips and updates.
• To run orders, send order updates and keep packing proof.
• To answer your Vaishnex AI requests and make subtitles when you ask for them.
• To send account emails: verification codes, password reset codes, a welcome email and a notice when your password changes.
• To prevent abuse, spam and fraud, and to meet legal duties.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Who sees your content

• Each post has its own setting: Public (anyone), Circle (people you allow) or Private (only you). You can change it later.
• Downloads and comments: you choose per post whether others may download it and whether comments are on.
• Remix with permission: others can reuse your post only if you turn on remix for it, and a remix always credits you.
• Hide likes and hide the order button are also per-post choices.
• Your public profile shows your name, handle, bio, account type, city and any business contact details you add.

We use trusted providers who process data only to run Vaishnex for us:

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a merger or sale of Vaishnex, in which case this policy continues to apply.

7. Vaishnex AI and subtitles

When you use Vaishnex AI, your message and recent chat turns are sent to an AI model to create a reply. Do not share passwords, bank details or other sensitive information in AI chats. AI replies can be wrong, so check anything important. We do not use your AI chats to train AI models. Each account has a daily AI limit to keep the service fair.

8. Orders and packing proof

When you order from a shop, the shop sees the details needed to fulfil the order, such as your name, phone number, the item and quantity. Shops can record a packing proof video, stamped with the order details and time, so you can see your order being packed. Video Saboot creates a fingerprint (a SHA-256 code) of a video so anyone can check later that it was not changed. The fingerprint does not contain the video itself. Payments, delivery and returns are between you and the shop. Vaishnex does not collect card or bank details.

9. Where your data is stored

Our servers and databases are in the AWS Asia Pacific (Mumbai) region in India. Some providers, such as AI or font services, may process data in other countries under their own safeguards.

10. How long we keep it

• Account and profile: while your account is open.
• Posts, comments and likes: until you delete them or your account.
• Email codes: up to 5 minutes. Sessions: until you sign out, change your password, or 90 days without use.
• Safety counters: about one day. Server error logs: about 30 days.
• After you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep some of it longer.

11. Security

We use HTTPS for every connection, hash passwords and email codes, store only a hash of each sign-in token, limit repeated sign-in and code attempts, keep media in private storage, and give each part of the system only the access it needs. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

12. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

• Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
• Correct, complete or update your data. Most profile details can be edited in the app.
• Ask us to delete your data or your account.
• Withdraw consent at any time. This stops future processing but does not undo what was lawfully done before.
• Name another person to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act.
• Raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

13. Children

Vaishnex is meant for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, you may use Vaishnex only with the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly track children or show them targeted advertising. If you believe a child is using Vaishnex without consent, write to us and we will act on it.

14. Browser storage

Vaishnex uses your browser's local storage, not advertising cookies. It keeps your sign-in token, your language choice, your drafts and on-device data. If you choose a language that Google Translate provides, a small "googtrans" cookie remembers that language, and it is removed when you switch back to English or Hindi. You can clear all of this from your browser settings at any time; you will then be signed out.

15. Changes to this policy

When Vaishnex adds features that change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date above. For important changes we will also tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
